I can't imagine being bilingual. I think I conceptualise things in images rather than words but language is like... the conduit whereby they become actualised. I wonder if not being English would affect that? Or like in your potential case, would learning another add another dynamic to my personality?

More incompetent FFXI rambling - How does one get windower to work? I want to be able to alt tab for christ's sake!
Slightly Random Thought: If even the higher ups in the military think that a lot of outdated traditional hooie and ceremony/bueracracy are pointless/stupid, and said higher up tells us themself that it is stupid, why do they perpetuate the cycle?

I am bilingual too, Spanish and English.
grew up with american TV, but m family spoke Spanish, sometimes I tend to think stuff in both languages and not notice my thoughts jumping from one language to another.

It kinda sucks. I always forget Swedish words but I know the English ones and I even think in English these days >_> If I'm thinking in words then it'll be a mix of the languages I've learned and not just one. Sometimes I'll even know the word I'm looking for in another language (while speaking Swedish) and then spend like a minute just thinking of the English/Swedish translation :/ (English works here because like.. 90% of Swedes know decent English lol)

OMG!!! It's magical! I had it for the first time when I was maybe ten or so?
I try to go down to the coast every summer. I usually come back with two coolers of seafood to stash in the deep freeze. One cooler is usually just shrimp that I bought, and the second is the haul from deep sea fishing and stuff. I still have Red snapper, flounder, and some shark. (My friend caught the shark this year. I haven't brought in a shark since I was twenty-two. I think when I actually manage to get one it's just a fluke. My arms are too spindly.)

I wouldn't dismiss it as just "madeup" though! Most things about emotion are shrouded in mystery, and often the hardest person to know is yourself. If that is how you feel, there is likely some truth in it.

honestly I dont have a favorite language, since I grew up with both, and use both on a daily basis. My main problem isn't the language skill, rather communication skills and sometimes not say the things I want to say or say other stuff and stuff.

Anyway, don't study italian, it's pointless and a waste of energy! French is easy. Japanese is too, except for Kanji...sucks to learn them.
