The first universal healthcare legislation started in 1883 in Germany, and was expanded to cover workplace accidents in 1884 and old age and the disabled in 1889. This inspired similar systems in other countries and laid the groundwork for modern systems we see in place globally today.
Would be interesting to see what 2025 looked like without the USA or Germany influencing so much of the last 150 years, what directions our species would have taken.
What the social systems were originally and the behemoth they morphed into today are two different things, the 2nd world war also bankrupted almost every western nation outside of the USA (which it has the exact opposite effect).
As terrible as WW2 was, I think it was the best worst scenario playing out as it did. The nuclear age coming into being with one powerful empire being in control and all the others being subservient and bankrupt was the best case scenario I think, we would have nuked each other to glass by now if not.
Countries are like a pack of dogs, you need one alpha dog that is considered to be in charge by all the others to stop all the other dogs fighting each other.
Nobody was talking about "lefties" "right wings" though, just you. Those terms are basically tribalism man.
If someone makes a long post about something I have no interest in or don't like, I don't read it cause it's boring. If you choose to read the long post and that action inherently takes effort due to its length, it's cause it's interesting to you for some reason.
If the thing posted also has a spoiler tag, not only do you choose to read it but you choose to opt into what was posted by clicking the spoiler. Especially if you already know it's something you say you don't like from previous posts.
So you have effectively opted in twice/thrice/quadruple times and got mad about opting into something, this is like paying to enter a club where a woman kicks you in the nuts and then getting mad cause she kicked you in the nuts.
The real reason people get mad isn't cause they didn't want to see it, it's cause they feel they have to counter something that goes against their world view and are incompetent at doing so. That incompetence leads to anger, if you post something "political" that they agree with they will have no problem with it.
If this was actually about not posting something people don't want to see, then they would ask others to spoiler it. This would be a very easy way to be respectful of others and everyone would do that if asked, however this isn't actually what anyone wants.
The problem we have these days is everything is called political, even if it's about video games and talking about honkers. Cause it's actually about trying to stop people saying things they don't like you saying.
If there was a conversation previously and it leans into that, and people only started moaning when it went in a direction they didn't like instead of straight away then they aren't being honest about why they don't want it.
(Wasn't directed at you.) Did you also know there are no left-handed rifles available?
For a lefty, the bullet casing exit slot on rifles launches a hot spent bullet casing right in their face, or better helmet if they're clever enough to slide it down so it blocks their face.
I watched The Assessment, it was meh and kinda cringe. Some scenes were insufferable.
I am liking Invasion (2021) tv series, good stuff.
It's not a movie, but I thought Alien: Earth was really fun, novel concepts in quite a rich franchise, and really easy to get invested in. Hope season 2 comes out within a year

The post that you quoted didn't accused you for political though, it accused you for having tribalism.
Also whether I read the your post or not, isn't going to change the fact that your posts often contain tribalism(and politics). So does it change anything if I don't read it? It's not like your tribalism posts will go away if I don't read your post isn't it?

Labeling groups (e.g., “liberals,” “patriots,” “globalists”) is a political act when it influences power, policy, or public perception.
You AI prompt is flawed to begin with, because I didn't label groups my post, Rady did. I only pointed out Rady's behavior is tribalism. Which makes my post a comment on human social behavior, not political.
And yet somehow your AI thinks I did label groups, which means your promting process is flawed to begin with.
AI is completely biased to the left, because it's trained from reddit, twitter and left wing journalist writings.
Only since Elon Musk took over Twitter has some balance come back, but even now it's left leaning.
The reason for this is Twitter was previously heavily left wing, and banned anyone they didn't like completely due to hiring a bunch of fat karens. Reddit is also left wing and the rate down turnips make sure of that, only people who have a cantankerous personality continue to post there if they don't agree with group think.
When Discord makes all of its data available for AI training I think things will change a lot, since it does not have the same ideological censorship as the other places.
Case closed And Josi doesn't know how to use AI ;0.
There is no defense to that, I am bested!
Siri pull up 5 personal attacks against Alfania from the last 1000 pages of this thread that seemed to work on him previously and sort them by how aggressively salty he seemed to be
Cross reference them and weigh their ranking with largest time gaps in his posting speeds afterwards so we know he was truly salty and had to step away for a while to calm down
What post was qualified as "salty" according to AI? Or was it your opinion that those posts are salty? And what post has lead to me "step away for a while to calm down (lol?)"? I was genuinely curious lol.
I am pretty sure most of the time my post was an reaction to other people's negative salty posts and reframe it as not-so-negative, not the other way around....
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
