I like how Nomura created names for all his character designs.

Hume female with blonde/black hair in a ponytail is called Morgana, black haired hume is Alexio etc

This is giving some super main character syndrome feeling, as my name is Alex Wynn...

Alexio and Wynne were the box art characters lmao.

Though I wound up being Gerard.

Where the Galkas at?

I think the concept art from this famous artist is better:

I got the D 18 time through a flight school in Akron OH where I took multi engine and instrument instruction. A selling point was they had a cargo and mail business and free right seat D -18 time was included. YOU BET THIS WAS THE DECIDING POINT. I logged over 50 hours in them. Great plane.

It's just not something you hear about much. My CFI started flying in the early 60s and he had time in them but I can't say I've ever met anyone else during my time flying that did other than him.

I can't even think of the last time I saw one that wasn't in a museum or at an air show. I flew out of a really busy airport in GA and don't think I ever saw one there, even though we had some wild stuff (there was an A35 (yes, A, as in 1947ish) Bonanza across the ramp from us). They are such elegant, cool airplanes with a lot of neat history. I can't imagine the cost to maintain and operate one now though.

I saw photos of one not long ago that had a period correct executive interior and I've never wanted an airplane so much in my life, it was amazing.
Military surplus D 18 variants were dead common in the '60s. They had sold really cheaply in the post WWII period and after the Korean conflict. They were said to have a wing spar problem but what really killed them was fuel consumption. Hardly a problem in the '60s but deadly in the '70s.

My dream planes were the converted A 20 & 26s. Only bomber I know to have shot down a fighter dogfighting. Executive transport conversions were cheap for a big twin but I didn't have the money for even a ratty used Piper cub.

And yeah, those early Bonanzas were cream your jeans pretty. I think we all wanted to fly them.

Oh I was talking about an 18 with an executive interior, although later Bonanzas had a similar cabin layout.

I was lucky enough to have some time in both 35 and 36s, they are great airplanes that balance out really well and fly really intuitively. I wanted to buy a 35 really bad and came close to doing so, but they are hard to find in good, well maintained condition. When fuel prices made a big jump late 2000s, a lot of airplanes suffered irreversible neglect.

It's easy to get in trouble in them though, a lot of pilots would transition from 172s or Cherokees into Bonanzas and get into trouble, hence their reputation, because they are slippery and pick up speed fast in comparison. Not something an experienced instrument pilot should have problems with, but someone transitioning from a 172 would not be familiar with managing and easily get into trouble.

This is a cool find!
I mean, it was obvious from the designs (especially the hairdos) that Nomura was the artist (For the Humes at least. We used to designate them FF names e.g. Wynne is Yuna, Geraud is Tidus, Rafale is Zell, etc), but it's still cool to see the conecept art.

Alerio* The font is indeed small, but アレリオ (Arerio) is written next to the character. I find it interesting that, on the ffxiclopedia character creation page, Alerio and Rafale have their names swapped.

It's also interesting to see the small descriptions next to some of the face e.g. Alerio has "normal hero" written next to him (that's why he's on the box art & intro cutscene I guess), Erhart is "cool longhair", Enkei (the Tenzen-looking guy) is "Asia". Bertram is just "beard" lol

He is though. He does some *** moves, however.

He is flawed, as all the best written are. He's staunch in "the ends justify the means"

Quote:
Delita is ultimately driven by a determination never again to be manipulated by others, and his vow to build a better kingdom is not entirely cynical. This was formed from seeing Tietra become a victim of the nobility,[25] and empathizing with the plight of the Corpse Brigade,[9] hardening his resolve to change a system that destroyed the people he loved. His ambition grew not only from personal vengeance, but also from a conviction that the world itself needed to be remade.

His driving paradox is that he strives to create a world where people are no longer treated as pawns, yet he plays his own part in that same cruel cycle to achieve his ends.

You can't make change without power. Ends justified the means.

The world of FFT is really way more complex than you think. There's some phenomenal lore on Ivalice.

There's gods that made gods that made gods to rule over humans.

There are many red flags in Delita:

- No ambition driven character can lead to the good. Ambition only lead to corruption. And corruption leads to the loss of empathy, humanity, and ultimately becoming a danger to society.
- No revenge driven character can result in a good ending. Because revenge always lead to the void, to the emptiness. Once you achieve your revenge, either is to follow the path of Ashura, or the path of self destruction.
- No character that think himself as a "savior", as an "arbiter" or a as a guidance to society can result in something good to it. Because the only road to humanity salvation is the coletive growth. You wont take humanity to the next step by leading them, but by giving them the light.
- No character that think humanity in doomed can do it any favor. Because the answer is not what we have as bad, but what we have as good. It is not what we need to destroy, but what we need to protect. History will keep going for thousand of years. None can understand the full picture if one can only live up to hundred year. Thus, none can individualy comprehend and jusdge how much our society is doomed or saved.

So, every point that characterize Delita is a massive red flag. Maybe not an evil person, but a real danger to society.

Finally, the fact the killed that person in the end made me sure he is a terrible person in the end.

On a side note, after potentially 15h+ hours save scumming, right after I get back home, I got what I wanted in the first try.

RNG is a ***, no question asked.

And as a side reward, I even got a 2% drop item from a chest.

Funny how I got 2 major wins, I playeed extremelly carefully for the following 20 minutes to avoid any death (and loss of progress) till I reach my save point, save and close the game ASAP.

Now I can finally move on, after one FULL day stagnated in a single task.

This is villain logic. He is evil.

Then again, I have to remember who I am talking to in this exchange in the first place... so... I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Well he became king and they never needed to make a sequel cause everything was roses and rainbows. So he must've done okie dokie as king.

Everything turned out good. Stepped on and buried a few on the way. Eggs for omelettes and whatnot.

Quote:
Delita lived and rules through ivalice's golden age and 50 years of peace and prosperity

99% of people will take that exchange. "yeah he's an *** but my kids aren't fighting a war, so, you know I'll take it"

If Delita sees a dog in the street, Im sure he would kick it because "Ends justified the means.".

But nothing justify harming dogs!

I watched a video analysing one of the most famous Batman story: Arkham Asylum.

Looking as a whole, this story is deep.

One aspect that made me favor mangas over comics is how comics seemed like an endless story: episodic, goals that dont exist, only an attempt to mantain a routine.

But as a standalone, some arcs/stories surely would the on par with any good movie.

On a side note, the lawyer analyzed my case (to purchase the house).

And the lawyer said the exact thing I were the most afraid of since the beginning: the sellers werent honest with me.

From early I waa afraid of being tricked. Those guys already stole 4 months of my life.

All that left is to propose one last chance to make things right, or an attempt to annul our contract friendly, or the worst case, annuling the contract through justice.

So, Ive reach the point where is all or minus all.
