Carbuncle.Nynja said: » Actually we were discussing why 12-14 year old girls in the UK feel the need to carry knives and hatchets for their protection. They don't is the real answer. The media *loves* to exaggerate. Whew, thats good to know.
I guess I can stop worrying about truckers doing U-Turns on highways too now, its just exaggerations. Lol.
Look, it happens. There is knife crime. Due to guns being illegal. Is it as common as the media shouting about "knife epidemics" and "omg our little girls are carrying knives because they don't feel safe"? No. I'd encourage you to look up statistics of knife crime in the Uk and see how many of those are girls aged 12-14. Spoiler - not many. What if I told you this has nothing to do with knife crime?
Dodik said: » The media *loves* to exaggerate. Sounds like the media is bad and inaccurate like AI! We should have avoid using all of them!!!! ;D pretty sure the girls carry knives because of the epidemic of rape gangs, not because they're the ones committing knife crime
so AI isn't totally wrong that it's a safety issue, but it did kind of gloss over the real problem Carbuncle.Nynja said: » Hatchets are designed to be one handed axes. Bit like all of us I am much more used to current nomenclature. /nitpick Shiva.Thorny said: » epidemic of rape gangs Seen so many rape gangs walking around man... all these rape gangs, bringing us down. Believe all women, except when the women are from the UK and/or they are under 15; which makes sense because those arent women, those are girls.
Gotcha, I'll update my notes on this one, I'm trying really hard to conform to these 2025 standards of being a good person. Anywho...I'll be in the UK for much of October, so I'll watch out for girls with sharp metal objects. If you use paypal to crysta up, make sure paypal didn't *** you over the weekend by switching your defaults.
They gave no warning, no confirmation, no email, nothing, switched primaries without acknowledgement. I don't know if like it's been so long that the bank info needs to be re-verified or what, no information given. Shiva.Thorny said: » so AI isn't totally wrong that it's a safety issue, but it did kind of gloss over the real problem Are you referring to my post? The content in my post didn't come from AI, it came from media. AI gave me links to internet articles then I clicked on it, and copy and pasted what the media said. So if you think the content from the media isn't in-depth, that's not AI problem, it's media's problem. Also media has tendency to exaggerate and simplify complicated issues, or write contents that their reader wants to read. So media content not being in-depth is also a common problem. If you want real in-depth knowledge of one particular issue, you should read actual opinion from real people involved (raw material), then summarize those raw data yourself for the conclusion. If someone lacks media literacy, avoiding AI isn't going to solve this problem. Questioning every media content for being fake isn't a good idea either. The only good solution is increase media literacy skill so you can tell which content from AI/media can be used and which should be questioned, collect or search for raw data yourself if necessary. Avoiding them completely doesn't solve media literacy problem. Afania said: » AI gave me links to internet articles then I clicked on it, and copy and pasted what the media said. That just makes you a worse AI than AI. Pantafernando said: » Afania said: » AI gave me links to internet articles then I clicked on it, and copy and pasted what the media said. That just makes you a worse AI than AI. Since AI has more data than most humans and it doesn't have emotional weakness, this is probably a compliment. A worse AI than AI is better than nothing. AI will eventually adopt emotions to attempt to make people happier :)

*** fantastic. "new protocols" Every firefox update counts as a new device. new device means you got hacked. Sounds like new bank to me. I use AI when I need to solve calculus problems, and optimize financial strategy using math. Doing math manually it not enlightenment, it's torture. Letting AI do the optimization math work so I can do something else is enlightenment. Yes, AI makes me happier. ;) School shooting already? Sheesh.
