New boss scheduled me for a double, so I wrote her a letter refusing to work the double. It was pointed to be blunt as possible. Made her real mad. She told me she'd fix it, but she doesn't have to run anything by me or seek my approval or let me know anything that she has planned. Then she demanded that I hand over, "her keys" to the GM office. The keys given to me by my previous boss for my explicit use that I'm supposed to have.
I handed them over, 80s cop movie badge style, and then tendered a resignation to the regional. Ending this stupid job after my shift on the 14th.
Wish I could say I had something lined up waiting, but I don't. Over a hundred applications put in this year since June, and only three interviews that went nowhere.
Pray or make a wish for me, if you've got the time or inclination. Blugh.
Only thing i would do differently though is keeping the job while looking for something else.
At least to have one less worry while you find something. Thats specially important when youre married so going back to your parents isnt an option, and the partner can actually stress you out instead of supporting you.
I hope its not your situation but its a possibility
