Those games induced a rage in me that no other game ever has, but I still loved both of them. I wish that series would continue.

I loved how it would downgrade you to "Ninja Dog" difficulty if you kept dying. I have a friend who is still butthurt about that over 15 years later
and yes I thought the difficulty was fair, for Black/Sigma anyway, 2 had some cheaper elements at times. The dudes with the rocket launchers ring a bell.

So I just learned that in one of the DLC in Stranger of paradise, it has blue mage job. And one of the upgrade version for this job is called "Soulflayer".
This blue mage has to be the blue mage from FFXI lol. Only FFXI BLU turns into a Soulflayer!
I almost never buy dlc for games unless it is included in a bundle. This is the first time that I feel I want to buy dlc just for BLU nostalgia.

Most of the game's actually hard enemies were locked behind the higher difficulties anyway, so beating it on normal already was easy mode once you learned all the mechanics. Similar timesink as getting maat's cap in 2007 before wings of the goddess dropped and it had a hell of a lot more people than 112 owners lol

I think SE should make all v25 bosses tell you to "go back to WoW, n00b" every time you lose or time out.

Im playing thru SH2 on my steam deck for the first time. I always had the game since I was a kid but I was always too afraid to play it, I remember just quitting after you encounter the first monster lol. It's been fun but its so clunky, I can't believe people were honestly complaining about the first trailers combat when the original game was such a low baseline.
Also the original game is going for like 130~150 on ebay, why do people buy those. I need to sell mine

They need the validation that they're special because they have the original game
or
They're afraid of being a filthy thief by downloading a rom, they think buying a resold copy of a game will still send the proceeds to the publisher.
