Hot damn, it looks so good. Wish we'd got a date with this, but I'm just happy to know how it actually plays now.
It looks good, hopefully ppl will stop attacking xenoverse 2 lol. I loved the old budokai games but really xenoverse did almost all of it better with fun co op and various stuff. And now people kept crying for the basic stuff, but visually it looks good. I just want a xenoverse 3
Except this is "Budokai Tenkaichi". I prefer the og Budokai that was more Street Fighter inspired. The whole 3D open field aspect makes it bad a brawling game. Unless you're already a Tekken fan. I'll stick to Fighter Z until they make the next traditional fighter.
Another all female crew, all female cast girlboss nonsense that no one asked for
It's not just that, it's that it's done so poorly every time. I love seeing a female-skewed cast, but it's almost to the point where even I'm ready to say "Just stop trying, you're embarrassing yourself". Because you know every time probably starts out with solid writing and good intentions, but then the retirement-age executive (who no doubt refers to his gold-digging partner as "The Wife") holding the purse strings comes in and makes harmful last-minute changes. They don't have faith that it can carry itself.
Compare Avatars "The Last Airbender" and "The Legend of Korra". Korra's budget was constantly slashed at the last minute, given no time slots, and sudden production changes. They were only green-lit for one season at a time, so they couldn't make a full arc like they did for TLA. And it's all because the Nickelodeon executives weren't sure people would want to watch a girl protagonist. They didn't have faith in it, so they sabotaged it until they were right.
I hate paying something for a month, but shitty sellers make Paypal turn those one time payment in recurring one....
I purchased Adobe PRO for a month, just to test waters, zero increase in any sort of productivity, and here I had my second payment for a software I really dont need more than the basic version.
Now I hired one month of Disney+ to watch some old Star Wars movies while I recover from my disease, but then here I see those sneaky recurrent payment in my Paypal account...
Should just play SWG, it's got some really great story, yours!
On what, private server?
Yeah, SWG EMU for pre-CU
SWG Legends for NGE
(Legends is creating expansions, etc)
I never played SWG, but I remember reading a Game Informer article probably 14-ish years ago about the servers were being shut down. Even then I wondered how long until I was reading about the same thing happening to XI.
This thread will probably be the last remaining relic for retail XI when that day comes.
Wasn't Lucas assisted in a large part by others writing the OT? I had always heard his wife at the time and some other staff were heavily involved in the writing and editing.
Yeah. Lucas wanted Han Solo to basically be a green-skinned Jar-Jar Binks in the Original Trilogy. Remember, when he finally got his final say on the OT, he made it so Han shot second, and added a bunch of CGI vomit all over the place to make the scenes more visually noisy.
The Original Trilogy was great because they were the vision of a lot of different people. The Prequel Trilogy sucked because they were the vision of a single lunatic. The Sequel Trilogy sucked even harder because they had no vision at all.
lol the new star wars trailer, get ready for the "of course the jedi is white and the bad guy is a black woman" drones.
Hoping we can see that kid from the last one to take the main role, and work as a gray jedi, to bring the force to a new era
there is no such thing as a gray Jedi...
in the extended universe, Jacen Solo was a "grey" Jedi. He accepted no moral code of absolute right and wrong. Obviously there wasn't an order called Grey jedi's but I think this is what Pantafernando was getting at.
Edit: Put another way, he's talking about the extremely dogmatic morality of the Jedi council and Jedi as they are portrayed in the movies.
Again: there's no such thing as a grey Jedi. It's just wrong.
The overall story and plotline is somewhat sensible, although it has some really oddball moments and the political scenes with the senate are just bizarre. A lot of the writing is corny or outright awful, acting stiff at times, and some decisions like Jar Jar and midichlorians were just bad outright.
I wouldn't say they sucked, but if they weren't a Star Wars, they wouldn't have gotten the traction they did. They were flawed in many ways, but fed to a sensible, somewhat outlined story at least, something the sequel trilogy can't say. I'm not sure I'd say they sucked as much as they should have been better if someone was willing to say "No, that sounds dumb, it's not poetry".
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
