It would be nice if there affordable housing. There's no incentive to build those instead of the mcmansions. You have to take what exists.
It's all on purpose. You think people want houses so big and expensive they have to work every minute of every day to afford it. They exclusively build them and price them that way to keep you stuck and without (Good!) options. You can always just be homeless, that is in fact A choice. It's not much of a choice though if you're honest.
And it's even more insidious than just that. it's why our education is so ***. They want morons living above their means, leveraged to the hilt, in debt for life. None of it is by chance. Smart people don't make bad financial decisions. There is too much money to be made by people doing stupid ***.

Definitely high up on the list for me, but the worst in my book is no doubt them trying to bill them as semi-healthy "Panko-Crusted"....if I'm gonna eat a crunchy pickledog, I want that *** deep fried.

The chains are thinking you need that McMansion, that job, that car, and a perfect social media picture of your life. Stop caring about that and the unimportant things, and really giving up lifestyle for the important stuff becomes a lot easier. Its the improper value of comfort that is the problem.

As someone without a McMansion, a job, a car, nor even an above average social media picture, I'm perfectly happy with my life.
In fact I see all of the above as bars of a prison and I'd happily live without them. Since those aren't assets, not having them is really the best choice that I've made in life :p.

These kinds of sequels always worry me. Things like "Hocus Pocus" happened at just the right time in culture to become a cult classic, and sometimes as much as we think we want it, its best to leave those one-offs crystallized perfectly in our glossy memories.
...then again, I would have said the same thing about Top Gun 3 months ago.
