Everyone I know has one chain pizza they refuse to eat. Unfortunately, they're all different, so it's really hard to order pizza for a party with friends lol
Mine is Little Caesars. It's been so long that I don't even remember what it was I didn't like about it, but I tried it about 3 or 4 times before I started snubbing it.
EDIT: Oh, boy. I paged with that? I'm gonna be in a lot of crap from LC fans lol
We've been trying to support local restaurants as much as possible over the course of this pandemic. So even in the rare occasion we do order pizza, it hasn't been a foreign chain in a long time.
Though I used to live fairly close to a Domino's, and I did develop a taste for their food.
I'd love to do local but they are just so expensive when it comes to pizza. There is this really neat looking place I've been interested in trying but the prices are crazy for something I don't know if I will like. a size SMALL pizza is $18 https://mellowmushroom.com/
Jeez, that's insane. And that's in Murica Bucks, too. That's over $22 CAD, and then I'm guessing you'd still have to add tax, tip, and delivery on top of that.
Honestly, the chain restaurants aren't even that much cheaper than most local places here anyway.
mellowmushroom is meant to be a "high end" pizza chain. it used to only be in the south east, but i've heard it's in a lot of the country now. it was originally in atlanta, and i believe the 2nd was nashville. they are gonna cost more cause they use more expensive "gourmet" ingredients. i used to go with friends for cheap beer night. the pizza was well made, but i'm not a fan of pizza with too much going on. it's pizza. keep it simple stupid.
Yea mellow mushroom is just a fancy chain, their pizza isn't worth the price. Anything below an Italian restaurant for takeout pizza is in the same category for me: drunk, high, or the good places are closed
The innards don't look too appetizing, but then again, the same could be said for their regular nuggets lol
Still, I'd be willing to try it once. I have one friend with gout, another with an allergy to animal protein, and two more who are by-choice vegan and vegetarian. More options when hanging out are always welcome.

Some places ride the "fancy" wagon a bit too far. But if it works for them, then who am I to judge. There's a local place here that wins all sorts of awards. They aren't really anything special, they just market themselves really well. As a result, they jack their prices through the stratosphere. And people (literally) eat it up.
The only time I ever ate that pizza was on the rare occasion I'd be at my rich aunt's house when they'd order delivery. The wait was always over 2 hours long and each pizza was like $40 lol...

They're definitely successful, and I think it comes down more to the in restaurant atmosphere and beer selection than the pizza itself. Like, the prices for a moderately OK pizza from the place are ridiculous. Another similar spot is Pizza Mio. Good pizza that you can tell isn't made with 90% chemicals, cardboard, and cricket proteins but you pay the piper for it.
I've never had Pizza Hut or any "real" pizza (like from a restaurant) so I can't say about any other places.
Supposedly, as far as my nephews & nieces claim, PA Pizza is absolutely terrible compared to “real” Pizza in NJ. I only seriously know Pizzerias in the NE of NJ but listening to family it does make me think that NYC and NJ areas have The Best Pizza in the whole Country which would make sense since we have a strong Italian immigrant population here.
Pizza Hut tastes exactly like the Pizza you would get at a local Bar which ain’t too great IMO at least.

Jet, when you come thru here again, go there and see if they good.
getting one this way, and I've heard it's popular for college students but that is probably it. Pizza hut is meh, used to go for the buffet though.
Amano crushed that splash image. I know I could probably just get some third party to print it on a shirt, but I hate the idea of using art without the artist's permission...
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
