people act like this is difficult, but it's not. if you're into someone, just be honest. gather your courage, conquer the neighboring country, impose a blockade/embargo, and demand their father or lord liege surrender their hand in marriage in order to obtain peace. people have been doing it forever. stop making it seem complicated.

if you wonder if they like you, just ask or make a move. if you get shot down, it hurts like hell in the moment. however, it hurts a lot less than laying in bed wondering what could of been 15 years later. if you can't work up the confidence to take your shot, you'll never have the confidence to ask them to take the next step (moving in, getting married etc) and you'll never have the confidence tell her to come up with a safe word... or the confidence to ignore it... or whatever other deranged thing you freaks are in to.

well back in the day, there wasn't endless entertainment at your home. so, people went to bars and dance clubs. that's why disco was a thing. desperation. people will go along with anything if they are desperate enough.
plus i think people underestimate how many people are hooking up on these dating apps. it's not really my thing, but i have friends who are consistently hooking up on first "dates" and never talking to the people again. men and women. i had a friend who had a chick get mad cause he didn't wanna bang. she got so shitty drunk and was like "ok let's go back to my place and ***.". he had to to carry her in, got turned off by it, and she started screaming at him when he went to leave.
