Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

I guess I was expecting Tony's rise to power. They prequel'd to hard and shot the prequel before the prequel.

And it spent a lot of time on the era (the racism etc) and not the story. They go together to set a tone and all that, it's just the percentages felt off. Not super interested in the race riots... on a mafia movie.

Anyway.

So yeah. Tried to log in to FFXI forums to participate in the "free in-game item for making a post" event, but I couldn't participate because I don't have an active content ID atm. I just put $20 on Crysta last week, but havn't resubbed content IDs yet because next week my parents are going on vacation. I have to house-sit and can't (well, technically I could) bring my desktop PC over to their house for a week.

It would be trippy AF to be playing FFXI at my parents house like it was the early 00's.

Still kind of in a holding pattern over/about resubbing to FFXI. Putting $ on Crysta was the first step, but the only thing that would get me to insta-reactivate would be if the Dragon Quest cross-over event comes back. It happened once and then had a random *** comeback a couple years later and I missed both events. My Key Item storage slips don't feel full w/o getting those vanities and storing them. I think there were some monstrosity species too iirc.

I already have the three rewards from the current "free in-game item for making a post" event. The Byakko hat, HP Shout flute lockstyle, and pink panties. I would have resubbed if the Moblin 80 storage Well furnishing was possible, which normally is for this kind of event, but isn't an option this time.

Does anyone here play Guild wars these days? game is kinda populated like FFXI so surprising to back into it, really fun

meatball sub isn't bad if you can get it with a fresh batch of meatballs, not the one that has been sitting in the vat all day.

my favorite was meatball sub with sweet onion sauce, mmmm, and then i woke up and haven't had subway in like 8 years

side note, when i moved here, I thought NJ couldnt get worse, but I learned they call subs... hoagies???? excuse me? disgusting

I got really into it for a brief period, and then I got a new PC and just forgot to reinstall it. I should try it again one of these days...

Regarding the Subway conversation: I was addicted to Subway for a while. I'd go there like 6 times a week. One day I just stopped, and I'm not sure why. Maybe I was getting sick of it.

6/week is a high enough rate to burn out of any most anything, makes sense.

Been craving subway lately since I always get double spinach roasted chicken it becomes a lot of nutrients compared to most other fast food I have

Funny, in here Yoshida says that he decided to make the WoL an inanimate board that nods sometimes because he didn't want to force the PC to react in ways that the player wouldn't want them to, because he feels our characters are supposed to be extensions of ourselves/more personal than established Canon characters like Cloud Strife who have their own established stories and personalities.

The increase in cutscene "quality" and emotion from our character in cutscenes coincides with adding the dialogue choices mid-conversation so that we as the player get to have agency over our character's response.

The loss against our first battle with Thicc Prince was the first cutscene to explore this, and they used feedback that they saw online to see if they should go ahead with expanding on it further.

Interesting how this was such a big consideration, and it flies in the face of the idea that it was done due to incompetence or lack of ability to do so.
