Some in the ff14 community are in a cult, they spend crazy amounts of money on anything with a 14 logo on it.

Square are taking advantage of it too.

I thought I was bad with ff11, I look like a detractor compared to some of them.

There is this guy "meowin" or something on youtube who literally buys every single xiv shop item that comes out. I then looked and saw theres a whole cult like community with glamours and sexualizing their characters. They all buy every single item and XIV related item, its the weirdest thing I've seen.

If only XI did that for their merch, sadly they didn't care back in the day lol but at least they making money with XIV I guess. To some degree I'd do that for XI merch given that it was a big impact on my life but some of the crap they slap the logo on is silly. Like spend ~x amount of money and get a weird water jug with an XIV logo. There are limits to my fan cravings!

those watch prices aren't that crazy, only like 50% more than similar citizen watches. That stratocaster though, 5x the foreign made price and 3x the USA made price.

SE announced another Absolute Virtue Lumoria weapon event right before they announce more Virtual Backgrounds.

They really missed something here. Absolute Virtue. Virtual Backgrounds. Virtue. Virtual. It probably didn't register to them in Japanese language, but it's interesting for English speakers, I suppose.

My friends tried so hard to get me on board with the Wii-U that when the Switch came out it was kind of like a "Boy who cried wolf" situation with me and I completely ignored it lol

I'm thankful I didn't cave and buy a Wii-U (I was actually seconds away from buying one when my gut said "nah, don't"), but now I'm avoiding buying a Switch because in my mind most consoles don't last that long anyway and now I feel like as soon as I buy one they're going to announce the next console anyway and stop making games for it. The fact that this exact thing happened after I bought a PS3 is probably why my brain is so hesitant now. That, plus I haven't set aside time in roughly 6 months to play a game...

I actually plan on getting back to gaming in the near'ish future. But I'm painfully close to my first playtest of the tabletop RPG framework that I've been working on and I don't want to stop now.

The problem is I don't have a lot of willpower to just get the barebones stuff done, and I keep adding onto it and trying to polish it when I don't even have the most basic stuff done. It's like I'm trying to shade and colour a piece of artwork before I even get all the lines drawn.

Every once in a while I catch myself and have to slap myself on the wrist and go "NO! Stop trying to balance! You'll figure that out later!"

That’s correct. Wasn’t sure if 300hz is even worth it for anything

1249 is a bit expensive for a 1660ti, with a little patience you can get a legion 5 with similar specs for 200 less. Not a bad laptop but not the best deal.

You can also pick up ones with a 2060 around 1100, and for the 1300 pricepoint you can look at a 3060 if you get lucky.

Monstrous machine for the price. But may be more than you want to spend.

Late reply but, 4 or 6GB will be pushing it in newer games regardless if y9ou pump up texture settings, so it doesn't matter too much. For Genshin you can practically run it on a toaster, but I suspect it'll be used for more than just that.
