That is an interesting point though. I'm not sure how feasible that would be, just because of the scale of structural materials. I mean, if you're going to build something illegally anyway, I can't see a 3D printer making it any easier than simply going to Home Depot for lumber (granted, with the price of lumber nowadays...)

It does make me think that it probably won't be long before they start hauling a 3D printer to construction sites to plop out connectors and fasteners. But even then you'll have inspectors.

*groan* I really wish I took a picture of the time I went to a site because someone wanted my 'professional opinion' on something when as it turned out they drilled FIVE 2" HOLES through the 2x4 top chord of a girder truss I sent >_>;

I don't really think there's much issue... it's not so much a "3D Printer" as it really is just a cement mixer. No ones just going to "have one" and start giving away houses... it's a matter of scale.

It's not safe! a 3D printed "blank" has no structural integrity etc etc. So I get it cheaper, and I get to die too!? Deal!

3D printing will rapidly advance faster than anything really thinks it will imo. Structural integrity problems can be fixed with AI/Machine learning.



It is pretty cool to see something like a flying squirrel's bone structure be the computer generated solution to a drone frame.

Another random thought: I'm at the stage of writing my RPG where I'm aggregating all of my notes into something really simple. Right now I'm starting to list equipment, which I'm categorizing by technological era. And I've gotta tell you, history has never been so fascinating. I never cared in the slightest about history in school. How do we distill this into a school program? XD

The gov does a "chance of aliens landing" type thing every year.

He walked over and stood right in front of me, blockin' my GF's TV, right when I triggered one of the ghosts that cradle ghost babies. The scream right behind his head made him jump out of his skin, but then he got curious about the game I was playing. Adorable lol.

Ripped out one of my drains and both catheters today. Feel like I might die but hey at least I can pee on my own again.

Got to see Saw 9 in the theater. Just like the before times. Some brutal deaths. Not as awesome as the motorcycle spiral slicer in 8 but damn great story too.
