My childhood Darth Vader....the evil Kookaburra III and Kookaburra IV. In 1986, for the better part of a month, my parents let me stay awake every night until 4 am as a 7 year old to watch the Challenger series and then the Final for the first America's Cup held outside of the United States in over 90 years.
I remember my dad laughing as I screamed at the crappy TV feed from Perth, Australia and my mother trying to quiet me so she could hear the commentary. That was the golden age of The America's Cup....the 12m monohull days. Black Magic for the Kiwis was the last great monohull...I hope someday they return to it.
Got on XI today, took about 90 min to set it up, get the controls working again, and relearning how to actually play the game. Decided to see if we remember how to get to my favorite spot in the game.
This game still looks so pretty to me. They really did a lot with so little.
Ever been at a funeral and everyone is just staring at you angrily and you don't know why, later on someone tells you that the dude started having a heart attack and when his girlfriend shouted "somebody call 911!" you answered back "shawty fire burnin' on the dance floor, whoa~" am I the only one?

I had to redo some of the missions for a mule and it really has held up well compared to other games made around the same time. The cutscenes are still very nice to look at.
I had a dream last night that I was back in high school and the girl that was a bit weird and liked horses came to me and asked if I'd take her home after school so I'm like "how far is it?" and she's like "not MY home, YOUR home" then she walks off and I spent the rest of the dream trying to figure out what to do and how to get out of it while fighting off an angry fire god. Needless to say I woke up scared that a very weird horse girl was trying to get me to take her v card.
How many people does it take to bring Bismarck down? Or is it soloable with trusts?
I can solo it easy with trusts, it takes about 2-3 minutes per kill (took me about 45 seconds to solo one on WAR, just pop Retailation and as soon as the adds pop, go for a 3 step Light > Radiance.)
Since I hosted it with my linkshell, we had at one point 14 people whaling on it. Adds never pop'd once. It took longer for the chest to clear and to pop the next one than it took to fight it.
Edit: Just bring displacers. Otherwise that 45 second fight will turn into a 3 minute fight
You may overall have killed Qilin 30 times, but in reality, you had 180 "rolls" on drops if you 6 box them.
yes dork that was the point. ~18 instances of qilin giving in 30 spawns.
If a single player kills Qilin 30 times using one character, there are only 30 "rolls" associated with it.
If that same player kills Qilin 30 times using 6 characters, there are now 180 "rolls" with each character getting 30 "rolls" each.
If the single player/character gets an average of 3 HMP pouches in those 30 "rolls", then the single player/6 character should get an average of 18 HMP in those 180 "rolls". The drop rate stays the same, the 6 character player gets more due to the fact that they have more "rolls".
It doesn't magically increase the drop rate from 10% to 60%.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
