Welp. Guess the model update wasn't just a random thing for the anniversary; we're getting a playable Borg ship (in a lockbox).

And Borg armour in the lobi store.
If this means the Borg are a major part of the anniversary story, I guess we're getting something like the plot of Star Trek Legacy; the hero ships throughout the different eras confronting a recurring Borg antagonist. Shame we'll never get any of the ship designs from that game though; it had some great ENT and TOS/TMP era ships. :<

Between that and the seemingly underwhelming anniversary episodes, I think my hype for this event is dead. I hope I'm wrong and there's more than just what's leaked/been revealed so far, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I was going to complain about today's giveaway being yet another set of gamble boxes, but I actually pulled the T6 promo box from it so I'm pretty *** happy right now; I can finally get myself a T6 Connie! Now I need to decide if I want the one that can use the TOS + TMP skins, or if I want the one that can use the sexy new Disco skin. @w@

I love this ship so much. With the lighter colour scheme like this, it's the perfect blend of the original design and the movie redesign. The movie design will always be my favourite because of nostalgia, but this is an easy close second.
I'm curious as to what the new variant will be for the 10th anniversary bundle version.
And it's so fun to play too! I'll miss my battle-cloaking Sovereign-class, but I think this will probably be my main ship for the rest of the game at this point. :I
