Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
I like my steak medium or Well-done. When you start delving into rare it gets too stringy.
I'm just too paranoid about parasites and food poisoning (never had the former, but I HAVE had the latter, and a serious bout with it is enough to scare you from ever giving your self the chance to get it again) I mean, if I actually had a place around here that was respectable, I might try it, but we don't. I don't know what the hell went on with those fish before it got on my plate, and I'd just rather not risk it..
One of my wife's co-workers picked up some sushi from the grocery store and she tried it, IIRC, she got sick from it.
I only trust the uncooked beef because, well hell I'm in Texas.. Giving someone sub-par, or worse, diseased/infected beef is liable to get you shot, lol.

my friend made me try medium rare beef .-. was chewy but goods. i also like eating rare salmon x3

So, I found it a bit ironic that I just had a nightmare. Someone was sitting beside my bed about to jab me with what I think were very sharp pencil crayons. I woke up with my heart racing, and I haven't been able to get back to sleep since, which was about an hour ago.
Don't think I've ever had a nightmare that has prevented me from going back to sleep..
But my dreams are rarely pleasant and I'm just sort of used to them.. I didn't even know that was abnormal until I was about 15/16.. I Just assumed everyone else had horrid nightmares all the time.
The only thing that regularly wakes me up, and keeps me up is acid indigestion.. I just know if I stop swallowing my own spit to get it back down, I'll end up puking, so when I wake up with it (which is on a weekly basis on average, there are weeks where it will stay with me every night) I eventually give up. Take some pills, drink some milk, but by the time it stops, I'm awake, and being an insomniac, once I'm awake, I'm awake for the entire day..

today i was having a dream where i was in this weird house. i was talking to these people in a room when this chick i know poked her head in the door and said hey. then she left the room and i chased after her. she ran down a hall and around a corner. then my phone rang and i woke up while she was calling me. freaked me out so bad i ignored the call. i couldn't go back to sleep afterwords and it's been a long day since.
Okay this thread is making me wonder why there's not a collective FFXIAH dream journal.. I mean weird, abstract, strange and even terrifying dreams is a universal experience.. And there's a thread for most things that are nearly a universal experience (Random thoughts or our love for pictures and videos that make us laugh for example)..

I won these two goldfish for my daughter at a local fair two years ago. One goldfish ATE the other one. It survived in a fish bowl when we would forget to feet it for weeks at a time (imagine what it was eating folks). We would forget about the stupid fish, and it would survive in like an inch of water.
Last weekend, I bought it an aquarium. Put clean water in said aquarium, was feeding it regularly. Last night we're eating dinner, then realize that Mr. Fishie is belly up >.< The ungrateful SOB.

On a side note, why doesn't Firefox 4 recognize 'single-handedly' as a word.. Or more specific 'handedly'.. It made me doubt myself, and had to go and make sure that's how it's wrote... >.<

Is anyone else's firefox all glitchy?
Any drop down menu flickers and vanishes upon use, so I often have to "guess" where copy, paste and my bookmarks are.

I'd see if it was doing the same thing on other browser's, if not, I'd uninstall and reinstall Firefox..
If it is.. I'd start to wonder if my PC meets Firefox's minimum requirements (is it even possible not to?).

Could be a video card driver issue. I recall my friend's Firefox going wonky on him after a funky release of drivers, but I need to look into it further. Might give Google Chrome a shot.
My Firefox is fine. I'm finally used to it, and I love the new version. More screen space FTW.
Well if it helps, I'm on an HD4870 and haven't updated in a few weeks at least.
Have you updated the drivers recently? Actually the better question would probably be has this problem been spontaneous or, did it happen immediately after either a GPU update or Firefox update. Kinda rare that things work fine for a time then start having problems when it's a software incompatibility issue.. Usually, there will be signs of problems the very first time they interact.

To give visual aid on what is happening...
When I mouse over any of the menu options, they appear for a split second then vanish, almost giving a flickering effect, but for the most part, the menu is there, but the options cannot be seen.

I just checked my menu bar and the menus all pop out fine for me. Maybe try to uninstall Firefox and reinstall to see if that helps any.
That happens to me sometimes. I usually just ignore it.
I do NOT want to go to work today :( If we didn't have a person off on vacation I'd seriously say screw it and call off.
Got spoiled by actually having two days off this week.
It feels weird, almost as if I got suspended or will forget how to work when I have to go in later today.

Oh man, a well-done steak is just simply a waste of a steak, period. Even medium well is taking it a bit far. I can understand people being worried about, or not liking meat that isn't fully cooked, but well-done just goes too far, makes me sad just thinking about it...but I suppose that's just the chef in me cringing
Also, it's 1.5 hours into work and I'm the only person here so far, so I can't do anything, isn't a team-based project just glorious?!
