My Christmas presents included:

Retractable headphones
Las Vegas branded toenail clippers (my mom picked someone when she went to vegas from a tourney she was entered into, and picked up a bunch of random stuff)
A comforter
A quilt
socks
pajama top and pants
cheap *** chocolate ***.

Other than some good hot apple cider, I got everything I asked for from my Christmas wishlist.




Oh god, I'm asking for practical ***, I must be old. And I don't even want anything for my birthday except maybe a small cake, and to be left the *** alone.

On my giftbuying, I had a parent who refused to give me any indication on what she wanted. So I spent the time, knowing what she liked, researching what to get her. Ended up with a unique experience day seeing an exhibition on Abba, her favourite band, with a load of original costumes etc, knowing she would enjoy it and having never seen anything like that before. Done all the planning, getting holiday approved at work etc, spent a lot on the ticket, plus train fares to get to the city. Probably set me back about £100.

She got me a £2 box of sweets, and £10 in cash. No gift or anything. "I didn't know what to get you".

I thought 3 years ago when she brought me a toilet brush for Christmas was bad enough, but I set my expectations low this year and she still failed to meet them.

So far got glazed carrots prepped and ready to go, 2 quiches in the oven... because i have a zillion eggs, pineapple upsidedown cake done, next will be the chicken/stuffing to go in the oven and boil potatoes for mashed potatoes, gravey last thing to make, thinking about making rice pudding too... because i have a zillion eggs

Haha, not the silver bullet! But for a cheap lager it suffices.

I'm just saying the plant in the west uses tap water, not spring water. I don't drink beer either way.

I had a relative who worked at the local Hershey plant for almost 40 years. Always could eat that stuff if I wanted, just don't have much of a taste for it >.>

The regular chocolate is too sweet for me. I tried the new gold bar last week, pretty good. Their peppermint bar is pretty good too.
