Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

How deliciously North Texan of you.

Just got a text from a co-worker who wanted to switch shifts with me.

I suspect that it's because he wants the 4pm-9:30pm shift I was scheduled for on Thursday, and asked if I would work Friday instead.

Now for some background: He's a predictably lazy SOB. Even more so lately since I started working the same shifts. He and one other *** are supposed to close the front salad bar/prep area with me, but they both take off early whenever, and leave me to do all the closing duties on my own. It sucks, but *** it, I am getting additional hours and proving my reliability in the workforce. Anyways, the guy who texted earlier today buggered off an hour early on Sunday, after being told by our boss he needed to spend that hour helping out dishpit since they were short staffed that night. So not only did I have to close the salad bar myself, but I was also tasked with staying an extra hour to help them... which lasted until midnight.

Now, I've already negotiated with my boss that I *CAN NOT* stay later than 11:00PM, due to having to take the bus, and last bus for me, runs at 11:15pm. (God I hate small towns for this... it's like living in a Canadian version of Oklahoma)

So next time I work with him, he'll be closing the front salad bar. Alone. *** him.
