We have a slide-in camper, one of those campers that slides into the bed of a pickup truck. Atm, we have it in the back of my 86 F-150 but I had an idea; buy a decommissioned CUCV M1008, basically a heavy duty 1980's Chevrolet K-10 pickup with a diesel engine and heavy duty axles used as a non-tactical vehicle by the US Military.

What I don't remember is if the power port installed in the front grille of the truck is actually enough to power household lights inside the camper if I were to put a power cord together to supply power to the camper while the engine is running.

Would be pretty cool to be able to simply start the truck's engine to light the place up while cooking and eating. We occasionally start our engines to maintain out batteries while camping anyway.
