From the way it seems, they used a game engine that didn't support facial expressions because it's generally an FPS engine. So the result was really *** up expressions from derp faces.

That's very true. It wasn't without significant problems and poor design/development issues. But I still enjoyed it quite a bit and lament the completely juvenile reaction of some gamers.
Things like sending death threats on social media to a woman who wasn't even the facial animations director, but they thought she was.

To be "fair" I think it was more sexual harassment and standard neckbeard ***than true death threats.

Edit: to clarify, some of us just want to play our games, not finger out why a video card isn't working right or sniff out that burny smell.
And you can talk all you want about how great you are at building computers, but I've found that even among my friends who do that ***for a living the more they know, they harder they push, the more I ended up playing without a white mage or something because they blew something up.

So, apparently YES, Skyrim is, indeed, coming to the Nintendo Switch. There's a bit of a graphical downgrade to it, but the kicker is you can in fact, play as Link from the Legend of Zelda series and it does include the three DLCs as well as the high-res texture pack.
So I take it this isn't the special edition version? Not that a whole lot was changed outside lots of bloom and god rays...
