I've heard that foreign teachers are just there for pronunciation (pretty much a living cd player) and the Japanese teacher is there for grammar etc, is there any truth to that in your case?
Basically they're the proper teacher and you're more of a substitute that won't be treated as well

I'd share my own, but I learned long ago not to be embarrassed of the ***I listen to. I was probably more embarrassed of it then than I am now, because back then I wanted to be viewed as the classic-rock, "real music"-listenin' cool kid.
