Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

A path is mostly just gameplay and divided into 5 chapters, there is very little details given in it story wise other than the Zero being out to kill her sisters and at the end One mocks her for trying to save the world. She killed at the end by a 7th intoner and in turn mocks him saying "You really think I was planning to live?". So you have a bunch of puzzle pieces but none of them fit together and on top of that you don't even know what the puzzle is supposed to look like.

B path takes place over the course of chapter 3 and is 4 or 5 levels long (can't remember). Half way through you find the sister you were there to kill dying and she warns you that One is is the forest. After that all the soldiers that served her start going insane, which you didn't see in A path because you never back tracked. This is kinda significant because it's reveals that their powers act as a sorta addictive drug making people slaves to them without realizing it.

C path happens over chapters 4 and 5 and you discover that Zero and her sisters very existence is poisoning and twisting the world. Also that her plan was to kill her sisters, then have her dragon kill her.

After that there is another level added to each path where the narrator, Accord from the Nier world, interacts with zero.

Lastly D path is basically a finale starting at chapter 2 and stretching through 5 though less levels total. You find out that the flower over her eye is actually a parasite and her and her sisters powers come from it. Her sisters actually being clones of her the flower made to split it's power up when Zero tried to rip it out.

Basically each path on it's own is a bunch of puzzle pieces and 1 corner piece each. If you stop after A you wont know what you're looking at, then with each "Ending" (or maybe resolution is a better word) you get you get more pieces that start fitting together and in the end can finally know what you're looking at.
