Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

Something that is probably apparent to my friends is that I love video games. What might not be readily apparent is that the love stems from the fact that growing up, I spent most of my youth watching and playing them with my older brothers. It's kind of neat to think about. It's like we were delving into whole other worlds and the stories that went along with them.

They were great games too, and in order to play them, I had to learn to read better/have quicker wits/solve intricate puzzles with little conveyed to me. My brothers weren't above helping me, but we all had this sort of pride, "I need to be able to do this myself to fully enjoy it." sort of line of thinking.

Some of my earliest memories are soundbytes and musical clips from video games, in addition to story sequences and cutscenes. Sometimes I think that with the way video games are mostly moving towards real time/realism/quickness/graphics/ease of use/play that the kind of experience I got growing up won't be had by anyone in the future.

Or more accurately a fantastic hotel for that sweet double exp. 10k gil per night. Totally worth it to get 40k exp all at once and just rocket up 10 levels.
