You can change GC, just need to rank back up
remember any gear you have from your current GC wont be usable anymore.

That's not it. The home nation which was forced on me based on the starting class.

Doesn't really matter past the 15ish quests storywise, pretty sure

It's just the icon in the profile menu

But no, I don't think you can swap it

kind of weird they even have that listed. you basically do stuff for all places including ishgard. no matter which city you start in you get the same cutscene about being new or a foreigner to the city.
