I was raised by a too young single mother. Watching her struggle is what I assume made me attracted to "helping" and "fixing" which is why I keep falling for trainwrecks who invariably just get fixed enough to decide they can do better than me.

Cheekbones...plus my bf looks like the reincarnation of Jim Morrison, that was a plus (or atleast he does in my eyes).

Oh ok. I have no idea why I like girls to be top heavy but that's the #1 thing to get my attention.

As far as how they look.... This will sound kind of crazy but I had a dream that I feel in love with a literal angel when I was in middle/high school. It was fairly recurring and vivid enough that I distinctly remember the face. I even drew it a couple times in art class. I actually met this girl and it was like a photo copy. Straight blonde hair that almost had brown highlights (the hair was mostly dirty blonde but had darker streaks). Faint, almost translucent freckles on the top of the cheeks, just tall enough where she'd have to turn her head up a tiny bit when we kissed, semi athletic build (but not so sporty she killed the all important lady bits fat deposits).She is now my ex-fiancé but it's one of those "if I could redo it, i'd probably do it again" kind of exes.

Well of course it can be. But there are societal/environmental factors in this, otherwise you wouldn't have differing opinions of beauty from place to place or person to person.

hmmm....I would have to say we're all slender athlethic people in my family (cept mom, sorry mom) My brother always was laughing with my bf's cause they werent to his liking....I think in a weird *** up way I picked someone to my brother's liking.

Edit: I'll add, my bf also was everything I wanted to be kind of, I wasnt exactly the most attractive 15 years ago lol

I guess part of the reason I ask is because I personally have never had a "type." Yes, I've been with my wife for a long time now, so on one level it doesn't really matter.

But for as long as I can remember it's never been about any particular type or feature, it's just about specific individuals. I've had friends throw the old "pffh, you don't have standards!" thing at me, but I've never felt that's quite true. I can be very discriminating. I just don't necessarily think that any one factor is a pre-indicator of a person's attractiveness.

Like "I like curvy women" or "I only go for skinny girls" or "I only dig blondes."

They're all way to broad to mean anything to me.

Seriously, I looked like an oversized supernerd that didnt see enough sunlight, with too big glasses and a bad haircut. It was like I was trying to revive the 60's all by myself minus the nudity.
My body always had these weird proportions I swear....

I went to chef's school and we needed to get a toque (the thing you put on your head). They only had 3 sizes and my head was too big for either of them lol.
Then we had to get a waitering uniform and I remember the tailor telling me I had the shoulders of a professional swimmer.

It actually took 2 children to make me look like a woman and not an ogre.

Let's see.

I don't really have a type either. I don't know what I find attractive until I see it, hard to explain. For me it's always been about personality.
