Good thing that it's not the argument that I made.
If you are in a job position where you have to use a computer, you should know how to use computers but you can sometimes get away with not because your tech is managed.
If you don't know how to use and you work somewhere that the tech is managed, the people managing it should know about computers.
When neither of those are the case you end up with Macs. You end up with Macs because people who don't know, don't have the foresight to think about legacy applications, server environments, cross networking, and about a million other things.
Macs are simply designed and marketed to dumb-dumbs.
It is not Jet or my preference speaking here. They simply are not the best solution.

Yeah they're wasting their money but who cares, it'll work for whatever they're doing.
Or do actual work, or expect to use them in a business environment. That's part of the issue, they don't work. I Dont like macs, but ic alot of people using them for business. Thinking of my architect wtf? Or damn my gynaecologist now i think of it...My mind always tries to tell me to not do business/ get my inner parts poked by people who use a mac.
Oh! This is actually a great example of the point I was making about foresight, because this actually happened recently in this area.
Small doctors office, his network of 4-5 computer were all Macs. He operated independently but eventually wanted to become associated with the large hospital in the area.
The software they use is Windows based. He kept the Macs but installed Windows on all of them. Could have saved his business thousands of dollars by just buying PC in the first place with comparable hardware, instead of paying for the Apple brand.

I put mushrooms in mac and cheese...is that an ok thing to do? never tried that, sounds lame!
carrots and diced chicken breasts or tuna for me, outside the boring Hot dog norm I usually do. My mom just always put mushrooms in it, then again my mom was/is a horrid cook :D

With what you perceive to be triviality you mean. You don't understand the intricacies involved though.
Many people see this similarly to buying cereal in a box VS buying cereal that comes in a bag. Box cereal usually being the brand name is like buying an Apple, while bag cereal is brands you never heard of and you have to put it in a box of jug yourself.
If that were the limit of the differences, yeah this would be a triviality. However in this analogy sometimes you can't put your cereal in certain bowls, and you can't share your cereal with other people who don't have the same boxes and they can't share cereal with you.

But I happen to know someone (my aunt) who has a massters in comp sci, bachelors in psychology and currently in graduate school, along with whatever else she does, I can't keep up, who disagrees with you whole heartily. But she also doesn't game like we do, which is where our opinion comes in, lol. No matter what you two say, it's an opinion and not fact.
Just because it's easier to use, doesn't automatically make it a piece of ***. O_O
Or I guess she's just a moron... somehow.

I had a professor who had his Masters and he told us you can't install an OS on a thumb drive.
Taking some classes and a couple tests doesn't mean you know *** all about how stuff actually works.

Now, would that taste go well with cheese and noodles? Maybe, I'm sure if you like mushrooms enough you'd enjoy it or at least wouldn't mind it.
now what mac and cheese really goes well with is some heat. Add some cayenne or similar spice to it and it's flavor heaven. So good.
Also, I've never had chicken in mac and cheese. Never crossed my mind.
and I would never add carrots myself, but again never crossed my mind

There comes a point when it's not just "taking some classes and a coupe tests". But she's actually extremely smart. Into programming as well, not just using them... ya know, creating them.
