I would expect the PC's basic programs to take less than several seconds for each key stroke to register (I often wait between 1-30 seconds after each key stroke when typing anything at all)

The PC store people act that is some archaic piece of obsolete technology and usually don't even have a display model for one at all.

I feel like buying a PC at a physical store is just bad anymore.
I feel like if you want something that isn't hot garbage you should probably build your own if that's your thing, or at least order one made for you from one of the reputable manufacturers.

Wouldn't need that if you just install the OS yourself.
On another note:
Lenovo suck.
The only reason I'd outright purchase a desktop is to get something that already has the cables managed for me, like a freaking workstation, but it'd be a lot more buck.
Building is easy, and almost always cheaper, unless you're scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I just basically need a PC that I can use to pirate movies from any random sketchy web site I click on, and not die in the process, and maybe play some pc games, and not freeze on ffxiah/fb... these 3 or 4 things are about the extent of my pc use other than random info finding.
Mostly just the pirating part though...

why are we debating building vs loading your own os? we all know the benefits. endo has a lenovo laptop overloaded with bloatware. it needs to be removed.
