LOL A hot link is a sausage with spices to make it... spicy. It's not so much a "steaming" hot link, just ya know, it was steam cooked? Oh boy. xD

They were cheap hot links btw, basically spicy hot dogs.
i've found i'm not that big a fan of brauts, kielbasa, or sausages. i still enjoy a good grilled hot dog, but i feel like brauts and the like are always a let down =/

For me brats have to be purchased raw (none of that Hillshire Farm already-smoked-cooked nonsense), steamed/boiled in beer with onions, and then grilled with said onions grilled in a foil packet with some butter.
Kielbasa is okay, but the older I get the less I like it, and the worse of a number it does to my gastrointestinal tract. I pay for enjoying kielbasa.
Sausage in general, I'm a fan though.
It sounds awful, but it's so not. It doesn't come out tasting like you're chugging a beer down. If it's done right, it's pretty amazing!

yeah, i've tried a lot of different methods. i even tried smoking some while doing ribs not too long ago. i just don't enjoy it.

Welllll that depends.
With grilled hot dogs, that snap is amazing and makes the dog.
But sometimes it's like...eh. Pass.
I dunno. I've not met a tubular met product I won't try.
