Maybe if you shoot with it but not while you're hitting stuff with the sword part :P
well yeah the whole process of shooting something while youre slashing with it is ridiculous to begin with, the kinetic energy of the bullet and the chamber action happening while you cut into something would make timing the slice so *** impossible that it wouldnt even be worth considering. gunblades are definitely in the fantasy part of final fantasy, fusing guns and swords totes could work tho.

In FF8 didn't it work like some sorta vibroblade? Like the gun part was just aesthetic, but by pressing the trigger, it vibrated or something? I mean, I know the animation was a loud bang explosion, but I seem to remember reading that it was just supposed to be some vibration based cut enhancement, though I don't really know the reasoning behind sudden vibrations making something cut better.
i feel like that would be inefficient and a really dangerous and destructive way of achieving that though, i dunno. apparently, they historically used swords with flintlock rifles/pistols on them

Like how I force Alley to play healer in 14 because she is a female, oh wait she is a Dragoon and I'm a Scholar. Or maybe because of how I ride a Harley and make her stay home to do the dishes, oh what SHE has the Harley and I stay home and do the dishes.
For christ sake I pee sitting down half the time so I don't have to worry about leaving the seat up on accident.
