What kinda computer do you have

System info is as follows:

Company: Hewlett-Packard
Model: HP 500B Microtower
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-core CPU E5800 @ 3,20GHz 3,20 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
System type: 64 bits
OS: Windows 7

That's... pretty old

Yeah I know. I guess I underestimated what you need to get a decent recording going nowadays.
I think I bought this PC in 2003 or so.

1. Gameesh, buy a new computer (or a used one), 4GB of ram is pretty small anymore.

2. Girlboy: what is your current phone?

Either there's two different 500B or there's no way that system is from 2003.

The one I'm looking at says:

"Memory expansion 1: Two (2) DDR3 SDRAM DIMM slots (4 GB maximum memory support)"

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02711762

DDR3 was launched in 2007 I think.

It may have been 2004 or 05, I honestly can't remember. I do know the system is 10 years old at least.

If it's the one in the link, impossible. But it's moot, time for a new one.

Motorola has never made a good phone.

But I do miss a good physical keyboard.

Despite my nostalgia for my old Droid, my current Droid Turbo is actually the most durable, performance-reliable phone I've ever had. It's three months from being eligible for subsidized replacement and it's still as fast as the day I bought it, performing like a beast. Unless something really blows my mind I'm probably just going to ride this one for a good long time.

It's not about speed. I just like a physical keyboard.

I liked my Droid, though it bogged down something terrible toward the end of its life. I love my current Turbo. The Razr Maxx was good at the start, but seriously went south after about a year. Battery life stayed strong, but performance ground down hardcore.

Just let Jet be. He's like the technology hipster.

He's almost as bad as me.

Except I really was hating Macs and their pretentious fanbois way before it was cool.

Edge has a bigger screen, slightly stronger internals, and the stupid folded screen thing that I'll never use. Also right now (at least at AT&T) the edge comes with a bunch of free stuff and the normal S7 doesn't for some reason

really glad that touchwiz has a bunch of changeable themes, the default one is way too iOS and gross

Is the always on display backlit really bright or just the clock and etc?

There's actually two settings for it.

1) Always on clock + battery + weather where only the pixels that are used for those pieces of information are powered on for limited power draw (about 1% battery/hr)

2) Night mode which basically turns off the entire screen except for the wraparound edge part, which has a somewhat dim clock/alarm so you can like put it on your nightstand or something and use it as an alarm clock without it being too bright.

I'll probably use the alarm clock feature, but always on screen during the day seems pointless when all I have to do is tap the lock button to see the clock anyway.

edit: actually I forgot a couple of other modes for the always on screen

3) You can set it to a few stock images, like a starry sky or a treeline, which shift around automatically to prevent burnin

4) A somewhat annoying screensaver thing that I don't know why anyone would use it

Too much backlighting was my main concern with it.
