What's the difference between the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge? The screen wrapping to the sides?

As far as I know, yes. I'd have to research otherwise.

The screen looks cool on the Edge. But size is a concern and I'm not sure how big it is but I think it's bigger than the Nexus 5X.

It's only slightly taller than the Nexus 5X.

If you don't need the umph, just get an older and or used phone.

Looks like the S7 is smaller than the S7 Edge. One thing Nexus 5X has is vanilla Android which I would think means faster, less complicated updates.

Well, even OBS refuses to work on my PC...
I can install it just fine, run the configuration just fine and when I hit record I get an error message:

"Your Intel(R) chipset doesn't support DirectX 10" etc etc

I understand I have not the newest machine, but yeah...

So, I guess this is it then. I'll just have to save up money and buy a newer PC at some point so I can switch to full-screen (and better quality) recordings of video games.

I haven't un-installed OBS just yet, since it seems to be nice to me unlike all the other programs I have tried.

But yeah :/ *sigh*

Here's my checklist of stuff I tried:

CamStudio
Still the only program that wants to record things I want, without errors or other problems. Only downside: no full-screen and max
length of a video is about 15 minutes.

Fraps
Audio lag in generated files and extreme large file sizes.

ShadowPlay
Inverted colours in some of the generated files and audio desync.

Gregion
Refuses to record anything. Once I hit record it just says 'waiting for 3D' (whatever that means)

OBS
Won't record. When I hit record I get an error message about not having DirectX 10 in my graphics card; at least I think that's what it means...

What kinda computer do you have

So now I'm looking between Nexus 5X and the S7 Edge. One new feature I want is a notification light, which both have. Current phone will light up the entire screen every few seconds if I have a notification and it annoys the hell out of me at night.

I use a Hitclips to record my footage and then transfer it to my Apple II.

My random Spotify list (600+ songs of literally every major genre and a considerable number of sub-genres) was humming along. Little did I know the emotional pecker slap it was about to lay on me, having forgotten I had ever added this to it at some point.

So, apparently my phone has a small, green notification LED but it was never programmed to show notifications. Doing so requires a rooted phone. :(

Think jailbroken. You have to do it to add function to the light, as it is now the light is a charging indicator for when the battery is so low that the screen won't light up.
