The "Free Company etc" thing is shared housing with up to 5 others, a furnishing that can control light levels in the house/room (pretty sure house) and a house reclaim system where your house is taken from you after a certain amount of time (to remove houses from people who don't play)

While I love that show, and that part was amusing... Dealing with somebody who is having a panic attack sucks dong, as often there's not much you can do except throw Xanax at them.
