you ever take a hot bath and then it doesn't feel hot anymore?
it doesn't stop being hot you just get used to it and stop noticing how hot it is because there is nothing cold to compare it to.
same thing with kindness. if everyone was always kind you would stop noticing it and kindness would disappear altogether.
So I'm the evil jerk that has to exist for the universe to have harmony and balance and stuff...
it's one of those yin yang dealies....
the good news is you are only unfortunate enough to have to put up with it until..................................
