Nah it's still the same issue. You're just hearing the circuits oscillating more clearly.
It shouldn't be too hard replace, if you remember where all the plugs are now. You will have to remove some screws that hold it place.
Only problem I can see is making sure you get the right power supply. Any idea what the specs are?

Spoilered for confusion sake.. I have my service tag from when I ordered it , warranty is not valid any more but it *should* show what i have in it right?
Yeah you should be fine with a 500 or 550 watt power supply then.

Nah go back a page that link I had up before should suffice. Buying from dell like that is definitely going to be way more expensive. Should only be like $20-$40 at the most.

You're probably better off just getting a new PC if you're going to upgrade it.
If you're going to upgrade, I'd think about getting a new video card and some more RAM..
TO be honest- I really never use it - I use my laptop for gaming/everyday/anything purposes and the desktop was to be for my niece to game on =D Cuz im the awesome auntie ;)
