Nah, that's the one you need to activate the event; the one you get from it is the Spiky-Earred Pichu. :x

The funny part about this is that the blast goes way out into space for quite some distance, whereas Gohan's Kamehameha against Cell at the end petered out fairly quickly...

Yeah, Cell acknowledges that this would have killed him, had he not moved at the last second.

And I'd put Gohan's Kamehameha petering out up the fact that it already had so much resistance in the beam battle.
