Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Bismarck.Josiahfk said: » how far did you get? in that little bit of time did you think it was taking skill to overcome? I'd say beating coil when it first comes out and you're a little undergeared takes skill, you need to be at the top of your game after all. Once you get better gear and once echo is added it doesn't take a whole lot (at least until you reach the final turn for each coil, mechanics matter a lot and if you can't handle that you pretty much wipe the entire party lol)
@Blood: I wouldn't consider forethought a skill...it's wisdom, maybe sagacity.
Gear means very little if you don't know how to dodge knock back attacks, like in Titan EX, or your DPS jobs are jumping around like idiots, or your healers can't cure, then refuse to admit it.
A while back before Christmas, I was doing a Temple of Qarn HM run, and we didn't even make it to the first boss, because the healer was casting cure on himself, instead of the tank. Then he blamed the tank, the party ripped into the whm, and he left. Btw I have only played dps in 14, I'm sure playing healer is harder.

Healer is a lot more difficult to play well, if you're DDing at the same time. Tank is easy but you have to know every dungeon 100% or people get pissed at you lol, can be annoying
Forethought isn't the same as planning. Forethought is simply thinking ahead, but planning requires actual organization skill. Thinking ahead means nothing without the preparation and planning in order to act on it.
Planning is made up of a group of smaller skills. With Tetris for example, you have to have hand-eye co-ordination, and many Tetris Experts started off as Pong players. It all depends on which job you play as well, warrior takes more skill than paladin for example
I get that playing dual roles on a healing job, like Holy Spamming with Cleric Stance can be annoying, but this guy wasn't even doing that. He just wasn't healing anyone but himself for the most part.

He just wasn't healing anyone but himself for the most part. Was directed at Seha but yeah, your healer sucked. Should at least be able to heal when the tank has 6 mobs (unless he's very undergeared). You should come to Excalibur instead >.> Damn snow. I'm bored, and it's snowing outside. God, I hate the cold.
On the other hand, the snow is fresh, and sparkly, and untainted. Bismarck.Josiahfk said: » oh phew, that's a relief. I'm disappointed you gave up so quickly but /shrug understandable. My brother wants to get me a PS4 copy of FFXIV, in which case, I'd have to start over from scratch, since I can't split my current character from his service account.
And I really, really don't feel like starting over when I've got 4 jobs at 110+ Bismarck.Josiahfk said: » Quetzalcoatl.Kenrusai said: » monster hunter series takes skill ._. fun game, plays similar to dark souls, but is about repeatedly fighting big monsters for their materials to craft armors/weapons, etc there isn't much killing of trash mobs in those games, it's boss battle after boss battle. I mean I guess that there is so many bosses in those games, that the starter ones could be considered trash mobs Bloodrose said: » My brother wants to get me a PS4 copy of FFXIV, in which case, I'd have to start over from scratch, since I can't split my current character from his service account. Register the PS4 code on your PC account and you can play on both Or wait, are you playing on his service account? Does he have any i110 characters yet? If not, I'd tell him to make a new account for himself
I actually play using my brother's account, and created a character on it.
He's paying for the ffxiv and xi accounts. If I knew how to link a character from another account to my own, that would be just dandy, but I don't, and didn't even think it was possible he has an 108 paladin, and has been working on ninja and bard.
Since he's the one offering to pay, and is the one paying, there is no way he's giving up his character. I don't think it is but if he doesn't have any well geared characters and hasn't done a lot of endgame... I'd just make him a new service account and take his
Contact SE through chat and see if they can do anything
he's in a fairly well established free company on sargatanas, so he does some endgame, but because of how often he works, his play time is limited.
As of right now though, he has a PS3 copy, and a currently unused PS4 copy, since he got a copy before he realized he could upgrade from ps3 to ps4 for free. |
