Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Think you might be in heat.

Hmmmm, should I buy Kingdoms of Amalur, or Resident Evil 4?
RE4 is probably the better game if you enjoy the series
Bismarck.Dracondria said: » RE4 is probably the better game if you enjoy the series Resident Evil has always been a hit or miss with me, but 4 has been the shining gem of an example of what the franchise should be like in my opinion. So I know it's good. KoA, I've heard good things about and is a decent title for those into open world rpg-esque games which I am, but I'm still undecided. If you've played RE4 I'd go with Amalur, I enjoyed it.
Haven't played RE4, not really my type of game.
KoA was very meh... the story is predictable to the point of boring some times, the exploration isn't anything wowing and when you do find a non-story place explore the rewards are either not there or underwhelming compared to what you already have equipped most times, and combat gets extremely repetitive really fast. The crafting system was neat, but I never really used it and think diablo series for jewel slots (not a bad thing, diablo did it well). You can also change your combat style and weapons any time you get bored pretty much, which does make it more fun. The art style to the game was interesting and colorful, but a tid bit too cartoonie for my tastes. Worth $5 and a play through at the very least (or 3 if you seem to story glitch as much as I did...). I don't think I would bother with the DLC. What are you dreaming about, Ackeron?
That's a tough question i'm asking myself the same thing seeing the steam sales... I haven't played KoA but R.A Salvatore is one of the writers and nobody writes fantasy combat quite as well as he can.
That being said I think the only reason there is so much criticism for RE games is because its such an epic series like Final Fantasy. Everyone has their own ideas on the way the gameplay should evolve because they are so invested in the franchise. All of them are worth buying and playing because the production value is so high. There's a reason we have to wait so long between titles, it's not just the same game remixed with a new number. Saw this episode of Co-optitude the other day of RE-4. It's the creator/producer of the web series "The guild" Felicia Day and her brother doing a web series where they pick random games to play together. Both of them are hilarious and shows off the game a bit, even if they suck at playing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0dvSPQYrhw edit: I don't know how to embed YT links apparently XD Yeah.. i'm on team Fake.
What are the barely visible squiggles in the background texture to the right of it? Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Best hat ever. I look so hot with my white vest heh After my character was molested while I slept I have chosen to remove guest settings from my room. Control is blah, story is blah, crapton of bugs and glitch plus I heard there's a few game-breaking bugs in the game as well. If you haven't played RE4, get it
If you've played RE4, get Amalur for a new game to play Hmm... thinking of Lost Planet 3. I do dig Third Person Shooters and it has giant robots, but I haven't played any of the Lost Planet games and don't know if I would be lost just jumping into the third one. Also, CAPCOM.
Anyone have experience with these games? >.> Traitor's Fortune in my Gobbie box today.
I think it's telling me to make a relic... but eww on those choices. Firs and second lost planet where awesome, havnt played 3 but if start with 1/2 first

Anyone have experience with these games? Lost planet 1 and 2 are phenomenal games, I just recently finished lost planet 3 after buying it last time it was on sale. LP3 is a prequel to the series and plays a lot differently from the first 2 games, but the story is top notch. Lost planet 2 is also one of my favorite co-op games to ever exist, so much fun playing that with friends. Ugh, leveling subjobs. Why? D:
Also, Destiny is hella fun. Bismarck.Dracondria said: » If you haven't played RE4, get it If you've played RE4, get Amalur for a new game to play Also the Gnome base ball kills are amazing in Amalur. YouTube Video Placeholder
the only thing I didnt like about amalur was not being able to quick escape out of dungeons and not running very fast, got some cheat engine script to move faster but that sped up all the enemies too not that that was really an issue
other than that i enjoyed what I played People expect every game to be a masterpiece, of course it's not gonna be fun if you go in expecting that. It's a fun game but it's not top tier but it will keep you entertained until you beat it. Might not want to replay it but it's not a ***game like everyone says.
All right, I don't know what is going on in my brain any more.
Seems like every game is giving me motion sickness, even ones I have played before without an issue. I really don't know what is going on, I haven't changed my monitor settings or anything, I'm about the same distance I have always been, tried with headphones and without... just something broke in my head and I can't play games on the PC any more and it is really starting to piss me off. |
