I actually completely understand Ramy.
I'm very much the same way, while I enjoy my alone time (and even carve it out when my wife is home some times). I enjoy my night or two of pizza and video games and such... but I just get bored I guess.
Always preferred a close friend or two over a network of people (which is why I never bothered with facebook or the like). So then I try to make friends and it turns into "I hate people" within like 20 minutes.

I am, incidentally, on Facebook way too much. It's like...friends with a comfortable buffer. I can talk to people and communicate with friends and family without having to be in "performance mode" all the time.
It's actually something my wife makes fun of me for because she's not even really into that level of social interaction most of the time.
That and all the pictures of all of our friends having babies makes her even grumpier than it makes me.
