Same here. Outside of the "homeowner" thread, I don't think I have posted in a P&R for a while....

I think the stupidity has gone beyond my tolerance level ever since Candlejack started posting there exclusively...

Hey, you people that play FFXIV. In Aurum Vale, the second boss (Coincounter), his Eye of the Behemoth attack, can it be dodged by standing really close to him? I'm reading conflicting guides. One says you have to run far away from him. Another says if you stand either really close or far away it can be dodged. Something about a PBAOE with a donut-like radius.

Just rather not waste time running away if it can be dodged at close range (being a tank and all I'd rather not have to run out of melee range).

Eye of the Beholder you can avoid by standing really far away or inside of him, it has a donut shaped aoe (which doesn't show). It also has a hate reset iirc

Yeah, just didn't want to take the chance of the close part being wrong and getting hit by it.

Yeah, the hate reset part was mentioned in both guides. My biggest concern though is noticing the 100 tonz swing and actually dodging it. If I don't, I can kiss my hp bar goodbye.

My biggest problem during that dungeon was the swing. Partially cause I went into the entire dungeon blind. But more because I kept confusing swing and swipe and back out or stun when I didn't need to. X.x

I don't remember exactly how much hp I have but I believe I'm just over 5k atm. Only an avg ilvl of 49 atm. lol

Just now working on finishing up the stuff to be able to start the level 50 grind stuffs.

Will probably do Praetorium tonight.

Only problem with that is no one really likes doing that fate so most of the time you're stuck soloing/low-manning it and it just goes to ***. :( least that's been my experience.
