There are suits that cost way more than that. Which is still the "image is everything" class but I've seen some suits cost almost $6k, and I'm sure there are even higher ones. Not around here though.
Most expensive one I've seen in stores was like $2800. I'm aware that top end designer suits straight from the workhouse of the designer can reach well into the tens of thousands of dollars.
Moore's is a suit wearhouse. All they do are suits, which brings down the price considerably, while still keeping the quality of the suit high, and in high regard.
Then again, most people are unaware that *how* you wear a suit, is just as important as *who's* suit you're wearing.
If you can't wear a Jos A. Bank suit with all the style and flair it deserves, or any part of you seems unkempt while wearing it, they'll look down on you anyways.
So basically business men being petty pretty high school girls? got it.

Hey Schizm, I forget is it just your family that lives in Japan or have you lived there too?

So basically business men being petty pretty high school girls? got it. The point is conveying intelligence, sophistication and style. Those three are critical with projecting the right image that a company might want or need to sell a product. "Earning a living" and/or selling a product is a bit more crucial to human existence than high school pettiness.
This is how the world works; the cost of civilization evolving up to and past this point.
Thanks for backing up my point of pettiness. It's arbitrary and petty, and projecting one's misconceptions of societal norms onto others. AKA reading a book by it's cover.
In all fairness: we do this in a lot of places in society, not just in this particular aspect.

Thanks for backing up my point of pettyness. Conveying intelligence and style with your clothing choices isn't petty; it's all about what message needs to be conveyed.
For example if I'm going to buy a car from you or let you handle my finances, I want you to look intelligent and like you know what you're doing. If your outfit is mismatched or doesn't fit you or it's falling apart then you'd exude stupidity or incapacity.
I disagree entirely, but I don't usually judge people based on looks, I'd inquire about their credentials. I don't care if it's a dude in a green Sun dress in the middle of February, if they have the credentials and references to back it up, I'd do business with them.
Try not to be so judgmental of people based on their outward appearance.
However I'm well aware that this is a societal norm, as disgusting as it is, and I'll reluctantly adhere to it to benefit myself and my family.
Even if it is as petty as high school *** (I mean after all: they get the behavior from somewhere).

k.
edit: on another note, help me decide what to spend all of these login points on. I don't think I need anymore I seals. I know I don't need any more Goblin Stew 880 (at least on my main characters, my one mule could probably use a few, but meh).

By Jetackuu 2014-09-01 12:48:06

Liminal residue is used in the weapon skill quest to unlock the empyrean weapon skills.
There are 3 ways of achieving the unlock, as long as you've managed to access Walk of Echoes:
Camping NMs and popping other NMs in abyssea for upgrade items (50 +75 for ws)
Camping NMs and turning in Kindred Crests, High Kindred Crests, Devious Die, and Liminal residue
Turning in the various coins from WoE, 100 devious Die, and 100 Liminal Residue.

I don't even know what WoE is...
I really shouldn't have spent most of the past 4 years away.

I have 300 points left from the login campaign after getting the alter ego, and I have no idea what to buy. Only thing that stands out are those things for unlocking stuff in monstrosity, but I don't even know how that stuff works. :I

Finally watching Frozen tonight. Let it go~ YouTube Video Placeholder
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
