Husky puppies aren't exactly small to begin with though. My brother has a Siberian Malamute and she's taller than me standing upright, she`s only 12 months old. I'm only short though...

Also what Seha said, this has been happening for years.

Game of Thrones has actually created a mini-epidemic of people buying/adopting large, wolf-appearing dogs like Huskies, and then abandoning them once they're not puppies anymore realizing they don't want to/can't afford to spend the money it costs to feed and otherwise care for a 60 lb+ dog.
Guy down the street has a wolf hybrid, that thing is a beautiful animal.

No, this was specific to...I forget. I think somewhere in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. But it was a documented issue from some of the people that had left these canines to run wild. Let me see if I can find you a link.

One of our neighbors had a dog dropped off at her yard. She took it in thinking it was lost, putting up lost dog posters and trying to get in contact with the owner some how when the owner called her 2 weeks later saying that his family didn't want her anymore. He left the dog with her because she had to put her dog down a few months ago and thought she'd take good care of her.

Very weird, there's so much wrong with that. I guess it's not as bad as abandoning the dog somewhere where it doesn't know how to survive, but still weird.
