On a serious note, the way I act is obviously not really the way I am, the rest of staff probably sees more of the real me than anyone else. I often express myself via proxy, if that term fits.

lol It is very plausible. Through text, you can be whoever you want or act however you want. However, sometimes people are fake even with the absence of a computer screen barrier. Taking the time to get to actually know someone is a must in person or online. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has learned the hard way that there is risk in either method. -_-

I find the opposite to be true for myself really. Why wouldn't I act like myself when "it's just the internet, I'll probably never actually meet these people for them to made judgments upon me face-to-face?"

I take a while for me to warm up to people really, and lots of people will never know me as I really am, but merely as I intend to be seen (which changes depending on context; ie: social, professional etc)
