yes because I can lug around my PC to my friends house, or when I travel.
Also the whole photo editing thing, would be nice to do that on the field or in the area rather then to wait when I get home.
The price thing was just a high point, if it's drastically lower then that it's not like I will complain, I promise!

I wouldn't spend that much on a laptop cnt. Also nice calling me out before I said it, but for the record: eww, 8.
I don't know about a hybrid drive, It screams fail rate to me, and 5400 is slow, idc what hybrid buffer ***it has.
I agree with the 16gb of ram, don't care about screen size, 15.6 is big enough for 1920x1080 I run that on my one, and I prefer the weight/size to my 17.3" the only thing I can say is bigger than 15.6" and you have limited accesory options, even if bigger is better, and I do love my 23.6" desktop monitors (3).
watch out for the type of keyboard too, I am not a fan of chiclet ones.

I'd also look into at least getting a 780M in it as well. Shouldn't cost too much more.
Also 8gb of memory is fine, but I'd opt for the 16gb version.
As well as a larger screen. 1920x1080 is going to look scrunched on a 15.6" display.
Is this an MSI notebook? If so, look into their GT70 line. Shouldn't cost too much more, but it would really help if I knew how much you were looking to pay. As well as knowing what you plan to do with it. Gaming? Photo editing/3D rendering? etc.

It's the one I have, I just installed Windows 7 on it instead myself. Runs everything I throw at it on high with good FPS. Most games on maxed settings. There is a cheaper one with same specs but a 1TB HDD and no SSD.
The HDD in both are 7200RPM. 5400 drives suck.
Though I didn't pay near that for it. When I got it, it was quite a bit cheaper (sale and I don't think the base was that high).

Couldn't save all PS3 save files either for some reason, very annoying. I tried backing up my Star Ocean 4 save but it wouldn't let me, same with a couple other games so I had to restart those.

oh, that's similar to the one I have.
computer itself is nice.
keys light up, and runs games and PS good.
touch pad is a bit iffy tho, but easily fixed with a wireless mouse
software has this thing to blow out dust from the videocard, and cool power settings.
keyboard section above the video card tho, gets rather hot when playing games, can be annoying when resting your hand on it
