Yeah I was just trying to get them to the PS3 or PSP, my PS3 isn't softmoddable and I don't want to hack it yet, my PSP is and was until I updated it but I don't feel like going through all the trouble of redoing it and then the steps to get the save on it, I already caught back up, and in the future I'll keep the card reader with my dex drive :D

Putting PS1 saves on the PS3 shouldn't be hard. Can't you just put the saved files in the PS1 folder? Or am I thinking of something else?
the PS3 keeps them in a certain format which apparently hasn't been duplicated, looks to be some signature that it creates when put on usb, tried placing raw save files on usb and having it read them, no go.

I'd also look into at least getting a 780M in it as well. Shouldn't cost too much more.

Also 8gb of memory is fine, but I'd opt for the 16gb version.

As well as a larger screen. 1920x1080 is going to look scrunched on a 15.6" display.

Is this an MSI notebook? If so, look into their GT70 line. Shouldn't cost too much more, but it would really help if I knew how much you were looking to pay. As well as knowing what you plan to do with it. Gaming? Photo editing/3D rendering? etc.

Price... negotiable as long as it's not over ... 2k? maybe 2.5?
