I wasn't "formally trained" either, it was technically a trades class for "optional learning credits" that I really enjoyed.
It was only one of two classes I could actively engage in during my entire high school career, from start to finish.
Also, got to work with alcohol with some of our recipes >:D
I actually learned more than I bargained for when I joined that class, but I would never let my culinary teachers know that. Hot foods, cold foods, desserts, theory work, inventory basics, cost reduction, safety and sanitation (which I take seriously without going overboard) and meal planning... which I got the lowest marks for. But I was my teacher's favorite student. And I had a natural talent for cooking.

Not right off hand, they are in storage and I don't feel like going out to the garage to get them.
I do remember my Linux basics book. "Harley Hahns Guide to Unix/Linux." It was entry level though.
For A+ cert., just take the practice test over and over till you ace it. If you can do that you can pass the actual test. Can do the practice one online.

If you retake it now, you'll have to keep it updated every few years.
