Browsing the ads on Kijiji.com , and I keep seeing ads like this:

"In good working order/excellent condition except for..." really stupid reason.

I might as well put up my own ad and say "Free couch. Excellent condition, except the part that was shredded with a chainsaw"

Difference is, somebody is more likely to look for parts from a broken tv/monitor than you'd think. Some of those boards are hard to find if one has one that's beyond repairable, but still has a good lcd on it.

You never know really.

they didn't though, the said it's in good working condition, except for the screen, vs perhaps something that has a broken screen, and is all torn to hell.

It also said: for parts or to fix.

I can find TV's here brand new for roughly 300-400 including the warranty.

Of similar or better quality
