I still don't understand why people buy computer books in this day and age...
Fell into another $40 of 3DS eShop credit, so I went ahead and bought Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. I've not even been playing 5 minutes and I already love it.
That still leaves $70 for Super Smash Bros later this year and possibly Super Mario 3D Land or a ton of Virtual Console/Indie games. By the time I print out something or any documentation, it's like 100 pages out of 1000. So I'll just spend the $1 to $5 to pick it up and scan through the book. Probably why I have 3 monitors Darkalenia said: » Fell into another $40 of 3DS eShop credit, so I went ahead and bought Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Books won't fade away any time soon, and the references ones I still keep to make things easier when I just need to look up something real quick during a thought intensive task on the computer. Switching applications loses focus from what you were doing. Leviathan.Chaosx said: » Jetackuu said: » I still don't understand why people buy computer books in this day and age... I'm on an Animal Crossing forum that has a form of virtual currency called TBT Bells that you earn by posting, that people clamor for to buy Collectibles that can be displayed under your avatar. Most people will do anything to get the TBT to buy what they want, even selling Steam Keys and eShop Wallet Codes. So far, I've bought 4 eShop Codes (2 $50 and 2 $20), a Pokemon Y download code, a RUST Steam Key, and a Banished Steam key from an assortment of people, and I earn this TBT by selling Pokemon xD Having played the original Luigi's Mansion and remember how charming and fun it was helped me finally settle on purchasing Dark Moon. I'm not even to the actual gameplay of the game yet and I've already seen so much of that old Luigi's Mansion charm that I feel the purchase was VERY well worth it. My only regret is that I can't buy a physical copy to display on my shelves. (Yet....!) A few interesting notes about the game: Instead of 1 mansion there are now 5 to explore. (YAY!) The Poltergeist 2000 is now the Poltergeist 5000. The Game Boy Horror is now a customized DS. Professor E. Gadd still has that quirky voice :) Shiva.Nikolce said: » Leviathan.Chaosx said: » Jetackuu said: » I still don't understand why people buy computer books in this day and age... Went to the range and ugh, I did awful. I do 10 rounds on a 6 inch target 10 yards and closer, 10 rounds and a 12 inch target 10 yards or more. 5 yards I was pretty meh, about a 3 inch group, 7 yards the first 10 rounds were like a *** 12 inch group but after that kept about a 4 inch group. 10 yards was pretty wide, slightly less than a 6 inch group with one low flyer.
Then did a 15 yard silhouette with some Hornady Critical Defense. 15 rounds, was like an 8 inch group and scored a 106/150 point wise. Of those 15 rounds, like maybe 2 of them would of put someone down. I really wish I had more money to go to the range more often. Stupid expensive hobbies. Offline
Leviathan.Chaosx said: » back in the 90s my dad worked with a military defense contractor in san jose. He had walls of computer and networking books, his office had something like 30 different pcs with those huge monitors stacked on shelves. His work looked like a typical government building. Fenced off huge black building. Security guards around the entire perimeter of the complex. It was really cool while he worked there. The programmers and other pc people that worked there were really eccentric too. A good portion of them wore those Hawaiian shirts back when they were a fad, with the short shorts you see in old 70s films XD Well, this has been quite a shitty week and a half for me

And some of the remastered games in this release already had English releases, so if they wanted to cheap out on it, they could reuse the voice tracks from the old versions. At least we're still getting the Dynasty Warriors Gundam games in English, even if the soundtrack is gutted and replaced with generic rock music. :I |
