Thanks for that bit of confirmation, I just wanted to make sure that I'm not the only one who thinks that 3+ hours is a bit much when coupled with that statement... especially considering they are only coming from 5 miles away...
Unfortunately "shortly" is a vague expression that demands further clarification from you. If their arrival time is important, you should ask. "What time should I expect you"
In the grand cosmic scheme of things three hours is very very short. and if they have children three hours to get anywhere is record breakingly (not a word)fast.
If you are a fruit fly then it is like 1/8th of your whole life and you have every right to be pissed.

I think I'm gonna go with being a fruitfly at this point...
I have children and they and I have never been late for anything (outside of ffxi that is). And we have NEVER, even when forced to walk the distance, taken 3 hours to get across 5 miles of town.
I'm kind of obsessively punctual though so...guess it doesn't really count

Yeah, your projecting your hyper punctuality syndrome on people that don't give a poop about the time. I suffer from the same complex and have to lie to Latey McLatersons about when things are because I know they won't leave/get there on time.

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
