Actually, those comparisons are awful lol. After accounting for str + base in block damage and (if dex)+ base rate, the difference are extremely small.
That is holy shield +1 block rate/strength. Someone, how much str does a pld have on average? Mine has 345 atm but should be a bit more with i90 legs/feet, more if you have gryphonskin accessories but if you're using allagan then maybe 360ish?
I have 330 strength and I am about as average as they come.
10*% damage reduction difference compared to a... 11% block difference.
On average. Did so much pointless math lol. Pretty much the same.

I know about the gear but it's just kinda boring to me. Last time I played it was near the end of Abyssea and it just didn't feel the same as before. Not that many people on or if they were, they afk'd in Port Jeuno. No one I know plays anymore and I have more fun in XIV.

While I do regret not finishing the storylines fully, I don't really want to go back.

I didn't stop playing 14 though <_< Even if I did play 11 it would take forever to catch up
