Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?

Something like Carousel but not an obvious ripoff. Grumpy Cat said: » Anyone have any ideas what a good name would be for a suicide lottery? I was thinking of calling it a draft actually. I was thinking of calling it the Malthus Draft since he (Thomas Robert Malthus) is the person who I am citing as my reason for recognizing the need for population correction as opposed to population control.

In the show Sliders, one of the worlds, they had an idea of giving out money at ATMs, only thing is, if you took the money, your name would go on a list to be killed voluntarily. >_>;
I can get more details if you wish. Yeah, I am also implementing this idea in the 3rd wave of my system. I think Hunger Games also worked similarly although I have only seem the movie and it didn't do a great job of explaining that. Tho TBH, it'll prolly be population control after I take out enough of the population that does not kneel to me. Basically I have a 3 wave system.
Wave 1 - Targets ages 65+, as this is the fastest growing age group from 2000 - 2010, and I am working towards making Social Security more stable (or maybe unnecessary) this is the largest wave of injections. Looking right now at somewhere around 90% participation. Wave 2 - Targets ages 18-64. In order to reduce strains on resources and open positions in the job market I am looking at taking the unemployment rate, doubling it or tripling it, and using that as a basis for participation of this age group. I still need to do more research before finalizing it. Wave 3 - Voluntary participation phase. This is where I take the ideas with the lottery system from Sliders and put it to use. Setting an amount that when withdrawn enters you into the lottery will be important. It can't be so low that people won't bother but also not so high that people can pull out thousands and break the economy without "risk" of participation. The system will have some restrictions like a draft would for the mandatory phases, things like 1 surviving male in each family, children can not have both parents participate, etc etc. Considering employing some kind of system where participants survivors receive some sort of temporary subsidy if a provider for the family is selected. Lol jos making Avis of hermself again

Make pornography more and more *** up ultimately making 50%+ of the population think "sex is gross and im cool being celebate" ala japan. It's nothing too serious by the way. We were assigned to write an argument paper and I just didn't want to do something boring like gun control or abortion. We read Swift's A Modest Proposal a couple weeks ago and it just kinda stuck with me.
